Alright, so, you wanna know ’bout this Cubs Tech Lab, huh? Lemme tell ya, it ain’t rocket science, even this old lady can kinda get it.

First off, what is it? Well, near as I can figure, it’s a place, see? A place where them young’uns go to mess around with computers and stuff. Like, Mr. F’s Tech Lab, they got one in some school, Paradise somethin’ or other, for them little kids. They learn all sorts of things, like when to use them gadgets and how not to break ’em, I reckon.
Now, they got all sorts of schedules and whatnot. Regular schedule, early release schedule… sounds complicated, right? But it just means they got different times for different kids, ya know? Like, little Timmy might go on Mondays, and little Susie goes on Tuesdays. They even got phone numbers and emails, somethin’ about jmanzara at Paradise somethin’. I guess if you got questions, you can call ’em up, but good luck gettin’ a hold of anyone these days!
And this lab ain’t just for playin’ games, no sirree. They say it’s for “gatherin’ data and information.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it just means they’re usin’ them computers to figure stuff out. Like, maybe they’re tryin’ to see which kid runs the fastest, or who can spell the best. Coaches and them coordinators, they use this info to help the kids, or so they say.
- They teach the kids how to use the tech stuff right, not just for goofin’ off.
- They got different times for different kids, so everyone gets a turn.
- They use the computers to learn stuff and help the kids get better.
This whole “tech lab” thing, it ain’t new, I tell ya. They been doin’ it for a while now. Even back in, what was it, 2020? Yeah, they had somethin’ goin’ on back then too. March to June, somethin’ somethin’ happened, probably more computer stuff. It’s a “Technology Laboratory,” they call it. Big words for a simple thing, if you ask me.
Mr. F, whoever he is, he’s got some big ideas. He wants them kids to be “empowered” to use technology “responsibly and creatively.” Big words again! But it means he wants them kids to use the computers for good, not for bad. And he wants them to be creative, to come up with new ideas and stuff. Sounds like a good fella, this Mr. F.

Now, they got this place called Lab East, seems like another spot for the tech stuff. Same school, Paradise Honors, with that fancy phone number and email. Maybe they got different labs for different things? Like, one for the real little kids and one for the bigger ones? I ain’t sure, but it makes sense, I guess.
And this Athletic Bilbao thing…now what’s that got to do with it? Sahadev Sharma, some kinda writer fella, says somethin’ about the lab bein’ a place for data and information to help coaches. Maybe them coaches use the tech stuff to see how the players are doin’? Like, how fast they run or how far they throw the ball? It’s all connected, ya see? The tech lab, the kids, the coaches…they’re all usin’ them computers to learn and get better.
So, there ya have it. That’s the Cubs Tech Lab, or at least, that’s what I understand of it. It’s a place for learnin’ and messin’ around with them computer things. They got schedules and teachers and all sorts of stuff. And it’s all about helpin’ them young’uns learn and grow. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about computers is makin’ my head spin!
Remember this ain’t just for one school, lots of places got these tech labs for kids these days. It’s the way the world is goin’, I guess. Can’t hurt for them youngsters to learn a thing or two about these fancy machines. Just gotta make sure they don’t spend all day glued to them screens, ya know? Gotta get outside and play in the dirt sometimes too!
