Well, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Joey Hobert. Seems like he’s been playin’ that football all over the place.

From what I hear, he started out in Indianapolis, with his folks, Billy Joe and Danielle. His daddy, Billy Joe, he played quarterback, real good too, even made it to the NFL for eight years! Imagine that, eight years! That’s a long time to be throwin’ that ball around.
Anyways, Joey, he’s a wide receiver, the fella who catches the ball. He was playin’ for somethin’ called Utah Tech, somethin’ or other, and boy, did he do good there. Folks were sayin’ he was a real standout, breakin’ records and all. They even called him an All-American, which I guess is a pretty big deal.
- He was catchin’ them balls left and right.
- Runnin’ fast, real fast.
- And they were givin’ him all sorts of awards.
But then, he up and left Utah Tech. Went on over to Texas State, playin’ for the Bobcats now. Folks were surprised, you know, seein’ as how he was doin’ so well. But I guess he had his reasons.
This GJ Kinne fella, he’s the coach over at Texas State, and he was real happy to get Joey on his team. Said Joey’s a big commitment, whatever that means. I reckon it means he’s a good player, gonna help the team win some games.
Now, I don’t know much about this college football, mind you. But from what I hear, Joey’s doin’ real well. They say he catches the ball good, runs fast, and makes all sorts of fancy plays. He even got named to some all-WAC team, first team even! That sounds important, don’t it?

Seems like everywhere he goes, he gets awards and recognition. People are always talkin’ about him. You can find his name all over the internet, they tell me. Stats and stories and all that. He’s makin’ a name for himself, that’s for sure.
They even have stuff called game-by-game stats. I don’t rightly know what all them numbers mean, but they must be important, seein’ as how they keep track of ’em. They say he had a record-breaking season at Utah Tech, in his one and only year there! Can you believe it? One year and he broke records!
So yeah, this Joey Hobert, he’s a football player, and a good one at that. From Indianapolis to Utah Tech to Texas State, he’s been makin’ his mark. And who knows, maybe one day he’ll be playin’ in the NFL just like his daddy. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?
He’s still a young fella, got lots of time left to play. I reckon we’ll be hearin’ more about him in the years to come. He’s a talented one, that Joey Hobert.
