Alright, alright, let’s talk about this “92 entertainment” thing, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks would yap about. But me, I’m just gonna tell it to ya straight, like it is, no frills.
So, from what I gathered, 92 seems to be a bunch of stuff. Like, some kinda TV channel, 92 News they call it. They got this “HD Plus” thingy, which I guess means the picture’s real clear, like lookin’ out the window on a sunny day, only better. They blabber on about news all day long, hourly news they say. Talk shows too, where folks just sit around and jaw at each other, like hens in a coop.
Heard tell it’s from some place called Pakistan. Never been there myself, probably too far for my old bones to travel. They got all sorts of news, “crispiest live news,” they say. I reckon that means it’s fresh, not like that week-old bread from the store. They talk about important stuff, current affairs and all that, and even that “viral” stuff my grandkids are always yappin’ about. You know, them silly videos and whatnot.
Then there’s somethin’ called “Power 92” in Chicago. Now, Chicago, that’s in America, I know that much. They play that hip-hop music, the kind that makes the youngsters jump around like beans on a hot skillet. Sports too, and audiobooks. Audiobooks, I tell ya, it’s like listenin’ to a story on the radio, only fancy. Guess some folks don’t like to read no more, just wanna sit and listen. Well, to each their own, I always say.
- And there’s another one, 92.7 FM. They play dance music all day, all night. EDM, they call it. Sounds like a bunch of noise to me, but the young’uns, they seem to like it. They got a livestream too, whatever that is. Somethin’ to do with that internet thingy, I guess.
- Seems like everybody wants to share their videos now, “with friends and family.” Well, that’s nice, I guess. Back in my day, we just talked to each other, face to face. But times change, I know that.
Now, I also heard somethin’ about “Entertainment 92” launchin’ soon. Don’t know what that’s gonna be, but sounds like more of the same. More shows, more music, more stuff to keep folks entertained. Lord knows we got enough of that already. But hey, if it makes people happy, then who am I to judge?
And that rock fella, Rod Stewart, he’s gonna be playin’ at some festival next year. Glastonbury, they called it. Never heard of him, or the festival, but I guess he’s a big deal. Folks get all excited about these things, payin’ good money to watch some fella sing and dance. Like I said, to each their own.
So, that’s the lowdown on this “92 entertainment,” as far as I can tell. It’s a whole mess of stuff, news and music and videos and whatnot. Keeps folks busy, I guess. Me, I’m happy just sittin’ on my porch, watchin’ the birds and sippin’ sweet tea. But that’s just me, an old woman with simple pleasures. You young folks, you go on and enjoy your 92 entertainment, whatever it may be.
Just remember to take a break every now and then, and don’t let it rot your brain. There’s more to life than starin’ at a screen, you know. Go outside, get some fresh air, talk to your neighbors. That’s real entertainment, in my book.
